2022 WRX
2022 Subaru WRX at Subaru of Midland Odessa
The Subaru WRX returns for 2022 with an all-new generation, and the rally-inspired compact sedan is back with a full redesign. The vehicle sees a bump in nearly every feature, including increased horsepower, more contemporary interior, and all-new bodywork. The newest WRX aims to reinvent the segment as the tide turns towards bigger vehicles such as crossovers and SUVs. True to the Subaru brand, the WRX comes equipped with symmetrical all-wheel drive along with many other features that have become increasingly more common among the brand’s other vehicles. Subaru of Midland Odessa is thrilled for the newest WRX, and residents from Dallas, Stockton, Big Spring, Midland, Odessa, and the rest of the region have easy access from our dealership.
Redesigned From the Ground Up
Subaru has taken the design of its now twenty-year-old WRX to an entirely new level. The vehicle features massively widened wheel flares, an aggressive new front end, and a low, wide profile consistent for the entire WRX line. The hood scoop takes up a large portion of the front, which only accentuates the overall appearance of the vehicle.
The interior of the WRX is more in step with many other modern Subaru vehicles. The 11.6-inch touchscreen dominates the center console, with an all-digital MID screen to help monitor your vehicle’s essential information. The vehicle has a surprising amount of cargo space with a 60/40 folding configuration as well as an ample trunk with 12.5 cubic feet of space. Available with the WRX are Recaro performance front seats built for high performance driving with an additional element of comfort.
Advanced Safety and Entertainment
The 2022 WRX comes loaded with a ton of Subaru’s latest options in technology and safety. The vehicle’s new enlarged touchscreen sits between passenger and driver and gives you access to Subaru’s StarLink infotainment system through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Access all your favorite apps, including a trial period with Sirius XM as well as button-free climate control and temperature control of the front row seats. Also available with the WRX is a Harmon-Kardon surround sound system.
The WRX Limited and GT models come with Subaru EyeSight, Subaru’s own safety suite. Through a series of rear and front-mounted cameras, EyeSight includes features such as lane keeping assist, pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, and more. Subaru also debuts a brand-new feature for 2022, which is automatic emergency steering. This steering feature guides your vehicle away from an oncoming collision when the EyeSight detects that emergency braking isn’t enough to avoid contact.
A New Generation of WRX Power
The WRX enters 2022 with more power than any of its predecessors, making for an overall thrilling drive. The WRX itself is on an all-new platform and is powered by a turbocharged 2.4L flat-four BOXER engine with a maximum output of 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle has outstanding cornering, steering, balance, and stability thanks to updated suspension and dampers, stiffer chassis, and high-performance tires. The vehicle’s all-wheel drive helps with the vehicle’s overall stability, power distribution, and maximum traction.
